Organized in 1987 by a small group of pregnancy center directors who recognized the need for further training and networking among pregnancy centers, adoption agencies and maternity homes, the Carolina Pregnancy Care Fellowship was launched.
In 1998 CPCF was officially incorporated as a 501(c)3 nonprofit. Barbara Stevenson, a key leader from its beginnings, became the first state director.
By 2010 programs and services had expanded to a new level, and the state director position became full time. Bobbie Meyer became the new state director.
